Dr. Townsend-Chambers, affectionately known as Dr. Colette, is a dynamic nursing professional specializing in clinical simulation to foster innovative learning environments. As a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE), she is dedicated to advancing nursing education through simulation and creative teaching methods, earning recognition as a leader in the field.
Dr. Colette holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she directed the Learning Resource Center. At the University of South Carolina College of Nursing, she taught nursing foundation and population health courses, integrating simulation into the curriculum to ensure hands-on, evidence-based training for students.
Starting her career as a CNA, Dr. Colette understands the nursing journey's challenges and rewards. Her commitment to student success and innovative education has garnered numerous accolades and the respect of her peers and students.

Students must be at least 16 yr. old, have proof of immunizations, drug testing and background checks. Students must also adhere to all program rules, including attending all classes and clinical. Failure to comply with these requirements will result in dismissal from the program. The public expects and deserves highly qualified professional nurse aides to care for them and their families!
